Why Lordina Mahama Is Missing In Action In JM And NDC Campaign

The Former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Lordina Mahama was enormously active during the 2016 campaign.
But now, she have not been campaigning since her husband started his campaign for the 2020 Presidential elections.



Some Ghanaians will like to see her by the husband side in all his tour but the Former Lady is totally missing in action.



Ex President John Dramani Mahama had tour some communities in the Oti Region, Northern Region, Upper East Region among others.

He is current on tour at the Bono East Region. But in all these places that the Former President had been, the Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama is not with the husband.
The wife of the Vice President, Samira Bawumia is seriously campaigning for the husband and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be stay in power for another four years.


She started her campaign somewhere is the Oti Region and have pulled at lot of fans and votes for the New Patriotic Party. Even at Night, you will see this lady campaigning for the husband to be in power.

Even though she was not with her husband to campaign together, she have done her part in securing some votes for her husband.
So some Ghanaians are saying Madam Lordina Mahama could do same as this is the time the husband need her most.


She could take the campaign message to different region as the husband also tour different region. Looking at the time frame or time left for election, Mr. John Mahama may not be able to tour all regions in the country.
Some Ghanaians are curious to know if there is some problem or hindrance that they do not know about. This is because Madam Lordina was very active and supported her husband campaign in 2016.
Some even said that, the current First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo-Addo is not all that into politics but as the husband tour different region, she also do her small campaign for the husband.


On her Facebook, she will always post her interaction with Ghanaians there. She had even commissioned some projects on behalf of her husband.
For instance, on 1st September 2020, she commissioned a health centre at Kwame Anum in the Ghana Municipality, Greater Accra on behalf of the husband.
She had also cut sod for the construction of two libraries in Amasaman and Bortiano in the Ga West and Ga South, Greater Accra.
This shows her marvelous support for the husband. She had also post some of her husband campaign message and tour on her official Facebook page.
Madam Lordina Mahama last post on Facebook was on 7th August 2020 about the death of a woman in Gambaga ‘witches’ camp.
Some Ghanaian were saying why not campaign about even the woman benefit of her husband campaign (Maternity Leave to be extended to four months) even by just re-posting it from her husband Facebook page.
Or even the popular Okada business promise. Well, may be she is waiting for the right time but we are only left about 80 days in to the polls.
I don’t think her silent is about the so called ‘Papa no’ issues. Some Ghanaians love you and will like to listen to your views on your husband’s campaign promise.
